I was going to write a post about painting walls in a deep dark blue, but we all know how stunning that can look. But what about darks blue’s often overlooked little sister, green?
I don’t know why, but I’ll always remember watching an episode of Changing Rooms when I was small and being amazed and completely entranced by LLB’s decision to paint some poor unsuspecting couples bedroom in a moody shade of khaki green.
I seem to recall their reaction being that of sheer resentment and distain but for me as a young, impressionable kid all to keen on interiors, well I loved it! For me its stuck and deep, rich and earthy greens wether they’re olive or emerald still remain a firm favourite of mine.
These earth rich olives work amazingly well with neutrals and hints of gold, of course a bit of equine art never hurts either! Going bold works beautifully well to if your feeling daring. Mixed with rich fabrics and sumptuous colours a deep emerald can give a dramatic effect to any room. Little Greene always do colour so well and with their wide range of greens such as Obsidian Green they are well worth a visit. Feeling green with envy yet?
